Terms & Conditions

MEMBERSHIP PAYMENTS

  •  There is no minimum term or lock-in contracts for Monthly Direct Debit Memberships. Payments will be debited once per month from the Members’ nominated account via the Stripe Billing system.

  •  Failed payments will incur a $10 fee and membership access will be suspended until outstanding monthly payment and fee has been collected. It is the Members’ responsibility to ensure sufficient funds and bank account details are up-to-date.

 

  •  Direct Debit Memberships can be cancelled anytime by the Member. Cancellations must be received in writing via written notification or email to corrigym@outlook.com

 

  •  Paid Memberships can be cancelled at anytime via written notification or email to corrigym@outlook.com

 

  ** PLEASE NOTE: Paid membership refunds will not be issued unless cancellation is due to medical reasons that prevent further gym activity. Medical Certificate must be witnessed and is at the discretion of the gym management.

 

48 HOUR COOLING OFF PERIOD

  •  Members reserve the right to cancel their membership without providing a cause or reason, in writing within 48 hours immediately after entering into the membership agreement.

 

MEMBERSHIP ‘TIME STOP’

  •  All Memberships may be Time Stopped for a minimum period of 2 x weeks and a maximum period of 12 x weeks at any one instance.

 

  •  Notice of Time Stop must be received in writing to gym management PRIOR to Time Stop commencing.

 

  •  Members can apply for up to 3 x Time Stops per year.

 

MEMBER ACCESS

  •  Members are required to download the TTLock application on their phones for gym access. The app will allow you to open the door lock using your phone each time you attend the gym once membership has been validated.

 

  •  Members must be at least 16 years of age to enter the premises and those aged between 16 and 18 years must be accompanied by an adult member at all times.

 

  •  Under no circumstances are children under the age of 16 permitted anywhere within the gym.  This is an insurance requirement and is not open for negotiation.

 

  •  Members are NOT permitted to allow any other person/s entry into the premises at any time. CorriGym reserve the right to suspend or cancel memberships if this is not upheld.

 

  •  CCTV is in use 24/7 for Member Safety. Footage will never be disclosed to any parties other than gym management or Shire CEO

LIABILITY

  •  CorriGym, its agents and employees, are not responsible for:

  1. any loss or damage to property belonging to the Member or any guest of the Member occurring on the premises;

  2. any personal injury, illness or death of a Member resulting from the use of the premises and/or equipment,

  3. except to the extent that the event occurred as a direct result of the negligence of CorriGym, its agents or employees.

 

HEALTH & PHYSICAL CONDITION OF MEMBERS

  •  Members are required to complete a Pre-Exercise Questionnaire as part or their membership application, prior to exercise commencing.

 

  •  CorriGym is not liable for any damage or injury caused to a Member as a result of a false declaration (including withheld information) regarding the Member’s medical or physical condition.

 

  •  It is the Members’ responsibility to keep CorriGym informed of any changes in their health or physical condition that will impact their continued use of the facilities.

 

  •  Members are solely responsible for their decision to participate in exercise and the level of intensity of the chosen activity.

 

LOCKERS

  •  Pigeonholes are provided for Members to at their own risk. These are to store personal items (keys, phones, etc) and will work successfully on an â€˜honesty and integrity’ system.

 

DRESS CODE

  •  Members must be suitably clothed at all times when on the premises for safety and hygiene.

  1. Acceptable fitness attire includes; Sports joggers, track pants, sports shorts, ladies tights, t-shirts and singlet tops

  2. Unacceptable attire includes: Denim pants, soiled work attire, work boots, thongs, sandals and slip-on canvas shoes are not suitable gym attire and will not be permitted in the gym.

 

HYGIENE & CLEANLINESS

  •  To maintain a clean, comfortable and hygienic environment, we ask that all Members use deodorant and a sweat towel at all times. No one wants to sit on a sweaty seat - please wipe down your equipment with the sanitisers provided (on the walls) after each use.

 

EQUIPMENT

  •  Please DO NOT drop your weights on the floor!  If you can lift it – you can place it down.

 

  •  All equipment is to be returned to its original place once you are finished with it. This includes free weights, benches, slam balls and anything else that you may have moved around.

 

  •  Equipment is not permitted to be taken away from the gym area, nor is anyone allowed to ‘borrow’ it away from the premises.

EQUIPMENT TIME LIMITS

  •  CorriGym reserves the right to place time limits on cardio equipment during peak periods.

 

  •  We ask that all Members ‘work in’ with each other on the resistance equipment in the event that there is more than one person requiring its use.  (Eg: while you have a rest set, someone else can complete a set)

  •  Everyone is busy – please do not sit using your phone whilst others may be waiting to use the equipment you are on.

 

PROHIBITED

  •  Alcohol, illegal drugs and dangerous substances are prohibited on the premises. CorriGym reserves the right to ask any patrons deemed to be under the influence of any substance/s to leave. 

 

  •  Smoking is prohibited within 4 metres of any entrance to or any exit from the premises.

 

  •  Taking photos and/or videos that includes anyone but yourself is prohibited in all areas of the gym unless approved by Management or the third party involved.

 

  •  Behaviour that is offensive, aggressive or makes others feel unsafe or uncomfortable will not be tolerated. Resulting actions and consequences, including eviction and/or cancellation of memberships, are at the discretion of Management.

 

PARKING

  •  Parking is provided to Members at their own risk. CorriGym is not responsible for any loss, damage or theft of a Member’s vehicle (or any belongings)

 

DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

  •  Any Member who causes damage to equipment or any property of CorriGym will be personally liable for the cost of repair or replacement.

 

  •  If you come across equipment that is damaged in any way, please notify management immediately and hang one of the ‘Temporarily Out Of Order’ signs on it  (these signs can be found in the cupboard under the pigeon holes)

 

SOCIA MEDIA

  •  Members are expected to conduct themselves appropriately in relation to other members or employees of CorriGym when posting material on CorriGym’s website or other social media sites.

 

  •  Appropriate conduct in relation to communications, comments or postings include:

  1. Must not offend, intimidate, humiliate or bully;

  2. Must not be misleading, false and injure reputations;

  3. Should respect and maintain an individual’s privacy;

  4. Must not bring CorriGym or its employees or contractors into disrepute; or

  5. Must not advertise products or services for private profit or gain.

 

PERSONAL TRAINERS

  •  Only CorriGym Personal Trainers are authorised to conduct paid Personal Training on the premises, unless otherwise agreed to with Management.
